A family in Glen Rock, NJ is seeking a responsible, caring, fun, and engaging nanny to care for their two children, aged 2 years and 1 year. This position involves working every other weekend. The family is seeking a candidate who is flexible with scheduling, as work hours will be coordinated in advance based on the family's events and needs. The successful candidate will be guaranteed a minimum of two shifts per month, with each shift lasting at least 8 hours.
Duties:
Duties may include taking the children to morning and afternoon activities, preparing lunch, snacks, and dinner. Helping with bathtime, naptimes, and bedtime, children’s laundry, vacuuming, and basic household cleaning.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal candidate for this household is someone kind, patient, and prioritizes safety of the children. The family is seeking someone who is responsible and very aware of their surroundings. Someone who is experienced with high-energy toddlers and won’t get easily flustered by toddler tantrums is ideal. The best candidate must be comfortable with walking a double stroller and also be comfortable carrying and administering allergy medication if needed.
About the children:
The 2-year-old is smart, focused, curious, playful, and thoughtful. She loves crafts, swings, and playing with water toys outside. She is very curious and interested in everything and is good at communicating her needs.
The 1-year-old is energetic, social, cuddly, sweet and curious. He loves stacking things and is constantly on the move. He is curious about everything around him. He runs around and copies everything his sister does. In addition to allergies (eggs, dairy, nuts), he has mild eczema that needs basic care (lotions, steroid cream, etc.)
About the parents:
These parents are structured, loving, playful, active, and healthy individuals. The discipline structure in this home is through actions, not words. If the children are misbehaving, toys are taken away or they are removed from the room.
