A family in Franklin Lakes is looking for a nanny to help in caring for their children, a 2-year-old and a newborn. Their ideal schedule is 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). However, the family is extremely flexible with the days for a part-time schedule (20-25 hours a week). This family is seeking a nanny who is able to handle both children alone, but also able to work as a team with Mom. Nanny has the option for live-in or live-out.
Duties:
Duties for this position may include meal preparation, tidying up after the children, doing the dishes, washing the children’s bottles, and potty training assistance. The nanny should be comfortable spending time outside the home with the children for activities like going to the library, taking the children to the park, etc. No pet care is being requested for this position, but the family has a fenced-in backyard, should the nanny want to let the dog out.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this home is extremely trustworthy. While a degree would be a plus, the family’s priority is a caregiver who is experienced with newborns and potty training. The nanny must be able to swim.
About the children:
The newborn is a good baby but does not love laying flat. The 2-year-old is kindhearted, happy, loud, helpful, and smart. He is organized and loves dinosaurs, trains, and coloring, as well as finding books. His activities include soccer. He has a lot of energy, but also likes slow and quiet too.
About the parents:
Dad is a proactive, hardworking, caring introvert who loves video games, anime, and being at home. They prefer to stick to the kids’ schedules, and are neither too strict nor too flexible.
Mom is a sweet, kind, and organized individual who puts others before herself. She’s friendly but can be shy with new people. Mom is looking for someone to work as a team with so she can maintain involvement with her kids while also getting time for herself.
