A father in Summit is seeking a reliable, part-time caregiver for his two children, ages 3 and 5 years old. The typical hours are as follows:
Monday: 3:15 pm - 7:15 pm
Tuesday: 7:30 am - 9:00 am; 3:15 pm - 7:30 pm
Wednesday: 7:30 am - 9:00 am
Additional hours are available one day a week (while the children are in school) for household management tasks. During the summer, there will be extra opportunities on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons.
Duties include:
Shopping for groceries and preparing healthy meals for the children. Doing their laundry. Vacuuming and tidying up after the children, including organizing their toys. Tidying the kitchen and washing dishes. Keeping the children's bathroom and bedrooms clean and organized. Assisting with transportation to afterschool activities. Limiting TV time.
Ideal nanny:
This father is seeking a reliable nanny who will care for the children while keeping a structured routine and a clean home. The ideal caregiver is empathetic, loving, and a good role model for the children. Looking for someone who prioritizes open communication, can help with reading/homework, and last but not least, will have fun with the children. Minimum requirement is a high school diploma; college degree is a plus.
About the children:
This 5-year-old girl is outgoing, enthusiastic, sweet, loud, and a bit stubborn. Her favorite subject is art, but she currently finds school to be challenging. Her after-school and weekend activities include gymnastics, field hockey, dance, and swimming.
This 3-year-old boy is sweet, calm, strong, attentive, and chill. Occasionally, he will have a typical toddler spell. He is doing very well in preschool. His after-school activities include soccer, swimming, teeball, and gymnastics. He enjoys Paw Patrol, Spiderman, sports, and cars.

This single father is energetic, hardworking, fair, communicative, and understanding. He is committed to creating a home that is a safe place for his children and promotes healthy intellectual and physical development.
Dad is trying to instill routine, respect, empathy, and a hard work ethic in the children. If a child misbehaves, the behavior is pointed out, consequences are applied (typically removing a toy or privilege), and then the behavior/feelings are discussed.
