More details:

Seeking an overnight newborn nanny to care for our infant over the upcoming months. Preference is for coverage seven days a week; however, family is open to arrangements where the schedule is split between two caregivers, should the candidate be available for only part of the week. The shift hours are from 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. the following morning. This is a live-out position, allowing the nanny to return home after the shift concludes.

If the nanny is interested in a long-term position, the family is seeking a long-term daytime arrangement once the initial few months have stabilized (but not request for this role).

Duties

The responsibilities include diaper changing, burping, bottle feeding, preparing formula, and soothing the baby to sleep through gentle rocking or holding. In the morning, open the blinds and wake the baby at 8 a.m. for feeding and tummy time on the play mat. Due to the baby's tendency to be gassy, it may be necessary to hold the baby vertically for approximately 15 minutes after feeding or to perform additional burping as needed. During the baby's napping periods, tasks may include laundry (preferably for the family) and loading/unloading dishwashing. Additionally, assistance with washing the breast pump would be appreciated but is not required.

Ideal nanny:

The candidate should be knowledgeable in safe sleep practices, have experience with infant care, and ideally possess current CPR and first aid certifications.

About the child:

Our baby is typically content and cries only when necessary. He wakes up approximately three times during the night and tends to be gassy. He enjoys being held and often requires alternating between burping, being carried, and feeding throughout the night.

About the parents:

As first-time parents, we are adopting a gentle parenting approach and are not practicing sleep training at this time. We are easy-going, introverted, and flexible. The father describes himself as an analytical engineer who values routine, while the mother is organized and currently learning about recommended caring practices for the infant.

Benefits

Salary plus paid vacation days off, paid holidays off, paid sick days off, and paid personal days off.
