A family in New Providence, NJ is looking for a caring, patient, and attentive part-time nanny for their 18-month-old daughter. The schedule is Tuesday to Thursday, from 1 to 6 PM.
Duties:
Preparing snacks for the child. Doing the child’s laundry and tidying up after the toddler. Some household errands may be required such as doing dishes, and basic kitchen tidying. There may be some driving, if needed, but it isn’t currently a requirement.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is patient and attentive. They should be able to spend hours interacting with the baby without checking their phone. This family does not give screentime. An ideal candidate will also be cat-friendly, as the family has four cats. College education is a plus, but not required.
About the children:
This 18-month-old is bright, energetic, interactive, generous, silly and opinionated. She loves books and likes the outdoors as well as people. She eats a lot and is allergic to peanuts.
About the parents:
These parents are nerdy, mellow and analytical professionals. They are both big readers and love the outdoors. They have a tendency to overthink but are kind and patient as well. Their discipline approach is to reward positive behavior and to not energize negative behavior. This family maintains a flexible routine without being excessively rigid or overly structured.
